The Tourist Office of the land of Montfort obtained the "Qualité Tourisme" (literally quality tourism) label in 2011, a rare award as Montfort's tourist office is only the third in Brittany to get it.
As soon as the Tourist Office opened, in June 2007, the Tourist Office team and its board of directors got involved in the quality approach, involving themselves in the touristic development of the territory. The first actions they took were to create a website and to introduce many organizations.
The Tourist Office is classified 2 stars since 2008, and obtained the "Tourism and handicap" label in 2008.
The label "Tourism and Handicap"aims to give information about the accessibility of resorts and leisure (accommodation, catering, leisure and touristic sites, places for touristic information...) for every type of handicap.
It takes in account the accessibility from the parking spot to the inside of the site.
It guarantees the autonomy of disabled people during their holidays.
Montfort's tourist information office is engaged in a process to accommodate persons who are in a situation of disability.
Since mid-November 2008, the Tourist Office of the district of Montfort has the label "Tourism and Handicap" for the four types of handicap taken in account in the Label: Hearing, mental, motor and visual.
